La semana pasada se anunciaron las nominaciones a los Satellite Awards, si bien los premios de la Prensa Internacional no tienen un peso considerable en la temporada de premios, representan los primeros que dan una idea de lo que será lo que veremos en los próximos meses. El año pasado premiaron a 12 Years a Slave y ahora se presenta con la líder Birdman, con 10 nominaciones. La entrega de premios serà el 15 de Febrero de 2015.

En los Annies no hay grandes sorpresas, lo que sí hay es una variedad interesante de cintas independientes, extranjeras que compiten con las grandes de la animación. El primer año que no hay una cinta de Pixar nominada hace una categoría más abierta donde se encuentra como líder The Boxtrolls gracias a sus 13 nominaciones.
