La última entrada de #TBINYR

Esta última entrada representa un momento especial, ya que he decidido cerrar un ciclo que ha durado más de siete años. Gracias a este blog he conocido grandes personas, tener un alcance de ser leído incluso en otros continentes, tener el honor de ser reconocido por blogueros de otros países y participar en grandes eventos.

Esto no significa que me aleje por completo de este ambiente cinéfilo, vienen nuevos proyectos que tienen ese toque iniciado con This Blog is Not Yet Rated, sólo se trata de una evolución y de cerrar un ciclo que ha llegado a su fin.

Agradezco a todos los que han formado parte de este blog, los que leyeron desde sus inicios, los que participaron en las dinámicas del blog, gracias en serio.

Los Minions 3D

Después del éxito de los "carismáticos" personajes de Despicable Me no era de sorprenderse que se hiciera un spin-off de ellos con la intención de convertirse en un éxito de taquilla. La verdadera pregunta era si se convertiría en una cinta que valiera la pena verla.

Es divertido ver las bromas de estos peculiares seres amarillos, pero la frescura se va perdiendo hasta el punto de ya no verlo gracioso a escasos minutos; tenemos el problema además de que en los trailers ya se vieron la mayoría de los chistes.

Se puede hacer una cinta con pocos diálogos, pero con lo absurdo de las situaciones, el forzado narrador y poco carismáticos personajes secundarios no tenemos un fin preciso.

Y ya que hablamos de los personajes secundarios, estos buscan convencernos con repentinos chistes que funcionan, algunos momentos musicales que sacan sonrisas, pero que al final se pierden entre lo absurdo del guión.

Tampoco vemos un avance en animación, pero la ventaja es que se aprovecha al máximo la tercera dimensión con secuencias que "salen" de la pantalla. 

Una cinta exclusiva para niños y a ese sector que ama a los Minions, pero para el cinéfilo más exigente se convierte en una absurda e innecesaria historia.

Mundo Jurásico

Estamos en un año donde la nostalgia ha sido el motivo más importante para el éxito de la taquilla mundial, y los dinosaurios que llegaron con fuerza a la pantalla grande hace más de veinte años no se podían quedar atrás.

Con la "bendición" de Spielberg tenemos una nueva entrega de esta exitosa franquicia a doce años de la última (y decepcionante) parte. Ahora tenemos una secuela que en parte es un reinicio a una saga que vuelve a tener futuro.

Con nuevos personajes y adaptada para fans y no fans tenemos una de las historias más entretenidas del año. Desde un inicio nos muestran la entrada al parque acompañada del famoso tema de John Williams adaptado por Michael Giacchino quien nos ofrece un trabajo correcto que intenta compensar el trabajo del primero, y en parte lo logra.

Tenemos un elenco que cumple, desde los dos jóvenes que toman personalidad propia (se alejan de los originales, pero cumplen), Pratt quien ya es una cara reconocible para el público general y Howard, quien a pesar de no tener el crédito principal logra sostener con mayor fuerza la trama teniendo el personaje más importante de su carrera,

Los efectos son impresionantes, haciendo más notable el avance en la tecnología de aquella cinta y las secuencias de persecución lo hacen más emocionante.

Si tenemos un pero en la cinta es lo simple de la historia, pocos momentos de nostalgia y que la historia sólo cumple con entretener, si bien lo hace de manera correcta no ofrece más, pero esto ha sido suficiente para atraer al público y convertirse hasta el momento en la película más exitosa del año.

Han pasado cinco años desde que se estrenó Toy Story 3, la última cinta de Pixar que tuvo excelentes críticas y una presencia importante en la temporada de premios. Desde entonces no ha habido una cinta en ese nivel (incluso se tuvo una cinta con críticas negativas). Así que muchos creíamos que este estudio había ya dejado atrás sus viejas glorias.

Pero no contábamos con un proyecto del responsable de Monsters Inc., el cual tiene una premisa sencilla, pero que profundiza en un tema tan interesante como son las emociones humanas vista desde el interior.

Tenemos la historia de Riley, una niña de once años que sufre un cambio al tener que mudarse de ciudad y tener que enfrentar ese momento difícil. Lo que parece más bien un drama digno de un domingo por la mañana tiene una visión alterna donde las emociones de esta niña protagonizan una aventura que explica el cambio del comportamiento de Riley.

Con cinco emociones, Alegría, Tristeza, Furia, Miedo y Desagrado se explica de forma divertida e incluso infantil como trabajan las emociones, demostrando la importancia de cada una y mostrar lo positivo de ellas a pesar de que se puedan ver de forma contraria.

Aquí vemos una cinta protagonizada por emociones que son mostradas con una personalidad propia para entender de una divertida manera como funcionan. Esto es gracias a un original guión que han hecho estos realizadores y que se agradece su regreso a las grandes historias con una película que fácilmente se coloca entre los mejores trabajos del estudio.

Con una excelente animación (aunque poco aprovechamiento de la tercera dimensión) y un trabajo técnico como siempre destacable, desde el sonido hasta el gran trabajo de Michael Giacchino, quien da significado auditivo a cada una delas emociones y nos las transmite al espectador.

Tenemos un gran trabajo de este estudio después de tanto tiempo, una conmovedora historia que llega a sacar alguna lágrima ya sea por alegría, tristeza o como cada quien lo quiera llamar. Una cinta sobre emociones que nos afecta las nuestras. Gracias Pixar por entregarnos una nueva conmovedora historia que seguramente será recordada como otro de sus grandes historias.

Mad Max: Furia en el Camino

Cada verano tenemos una sorpresa que resalta entre todas las producciones que solo ofrecen entretenimiento. En este caso se trata de una cinta que ha pesar de ser una secuela de una trilogía de hace más de treinta años, no ha dejado de maravillar a la crítica. No podía dejar la oportunidad de ver ese fenómeno. 

Puede que los mundos post-apocalípticos hayan invadido las pantallas en los últimos años, pero viviendo de una saga que fue de las iniciadoras del género se le puede dar la oportunidad.

No es necesario haber visto las anteriores (como en mi caso), rápidamente entramos a la acción, la presentación de Hardy y todo el trabajo técnico que destaca desde la primera escena con impresionantes fotografía y montaje.

Hardy logra entrar en un personaje que ya le dio fama a Mel Gibson en las versiones originales, demuestra que puede sostener este personaje; aunque sería injusto decir que es el único que sostiene la cinta, ya que tenemos sobresalientes actuaciones de Hoult, quien se aleja con éxito de todas sus irrelevantes actuaciones anteriores ofreciendo su mejor interpretación hasta el momento y Theron, quien nunca decepciona ahora interpretando a una mujer fuerte y convirtiéndose en la absoluta protagonista.

A nivel técnico tenemos impresionantes secuencias gracias a los efectos visuales que usan lo menos posible los efectos por computadora. Un montaje impresionante, la fotografía también destaca y el trabajo de maquillaje para decenas de extras. Todo esto resulta positivo gracias a un decente guión y una dirección que se puede diferenciar de todos los trabajos típicos del verano cinematográfico.
